Mohican Records was set up in West London in 2004 and is now part of The Little House Project Ltd a not for profit company, our aims are to provide rehersal rooms a studio and a small venue with Mohican Records as the Label Project. Our aim is to be able to provide artists with the tools they need at a price they can afford, we act as a collective with a punk ethos of if the big boys wont help new music then we will do it for ourselves.
We want fans of the bands and of the label to be able to join in and be an active part of what we do, so we fully encourage people to join our social networks and come along to the The little House and be part of something.
The Little House Project also does a lot of work in the community by providing P.A systems to local community groups and muti-media facilties, we are not rich by any means at all and struggle week to week to pay the rent but we have helped many community groupsto get off the ground in providing space for them to meet and if they cant afford the costs of what we provide we will do it for free, we wont turn away anybody who needs our help.
Music Publishing
We have a number of options open to artists and bands from our simple basic option or to full music publishing and distribution. Mohican Records pride themselves in explaing the process to you so that you are fully informed as an artist and we are allways on hand to answer your questions.
option 1
We can take your album and fully publish with full 100% rights to your self and make sure of eligabilty for Chart submission provide you with the tune codes and make sure you are or become a member of the UK collection society PSR with this option you would be then responcible for your MCPS and PSR statements,
We do this for a nominal charge of £75.00
option 2
If you are already published or have a publisher and all you really need is that all important Barcode we can provide one for you and if you need the IRCS CODE we will do that for £25.00 we will sort and provide the barcode you need and register your code with the UK industry body. dont make the mistake of using cd baby barcodes which will just end up getting your music lumped into 300.000 thosand other peoples not important pool of acts.
Option 3
Copyright protection we will take your music and make sure of copyright protection by encoding all the nessery codes IRCS numbers and provide you a RED Book copy of your music weather you have your own codes or are using Mohican Records, for encoding your own codes we charge £25.00 however if using parts of Mohican Records service we will not charge.
Option 4
Is what we call the full monty, we take your music do full publishing full distribtion and and look after your copyrights, for this service we do not make an upfront chage but take a cut in proffits our charge is an offer no other label or publisher will give you, our cut for the the full monty is 15%, what we do is offer the full package as a Full record label and publisher we dont hold onto your rights, we only admisnister your rights and if and when you are ready to get another record deal we hand on your rights to your new publisher or record label. You are in full controll of your career and we will help steer your career by makeing sure you are aware of any deals in the will benifit you and most importantly get your music earning money.
